Default Gearbox experts help needed please

What is the cause of this or is it down to my sedate driving style ?

btw Its from my MKII RS2000 4 Speed box (3rd and 4th synchro)

Gearkit is a Tran-X s/c c/r

its just a general wear thing m8 , the brass synchro rings are original ford parts and do not last forever , these are the cut outs for the shfter blocks to sit in , behind them goes the springs that keep the tension on the shifter blocks which in turn hold the selector sleeve in the selected gear , just werar and tear !! fit new ones all will be well !!

RS2000CUSTOM,
2nd set of brass I have fitted in the last 6 months

sounds like your a bit rough on the change m8 !!

the steel ones are very expensive iirc , and the problem with them is where as the brass item sbreak the steel units just bend , i.e the teeth burr up and make selection impossible , make sure you got a good clean magnet in the bottom to catch the fillings if you do , then of course cause they dont break , the gear will then bear the brunt of the rough change !!

the solution ------

dog box !!
