Default coolant problem with saph 4wd

Hi all...

i have a problem with my coolant...lately its very high on the meter in the dash....its between the "N" and red....normally it was on the "M"..and sometimes on the "R" with hot wheater, trafficjam or driving fast..

when i drive @60mph in 5 then its between "N" and red....
but in the same speed in 4 its on the downside of the "N"...

the fans are working ok...turning on...and later on turning off like a normal cossie...
i have a bailey headertank/swirlpot....the tank is half full of coolant...

i thought about the thermostat..or the temp sensor....
someone said to me about the headgasket....but i have no messy stuff in the headertank...no fuel smell in the tank also....no white stuff under the oilcap....

does someone have a clue...

Thanks...

I think best way is to have the basic settings checked if all is still correct functioning, could be overheating due to lack of fuel I think..

*Dutch mode on*

Wedstrijdje wie het het eerst gevonden heeft??

He, maak je niet te druk he, heb je geen kennis in de garage wereld die e.e.a. kan checken zodat je systematisch dingen kunt uitsluiten?

*Dutch mode off*

Hi Wim...

first time i could look is after wednesday....my wife needs the car the first three days of the week....

how do i check if its got a lack of fuel...fuelpressure, co....i know my fuelpump wines a little loud...but that one is only 2 years old...

mmmm...could be so many things...

the strange thing i find are the fans...they jump on when the coolant reach a level when they activate the fans via the sensor...and they turn off after a little while...like everything is nomal....but only the meter is to high for my like....it makes me a little nervous driving with such a high meter..hehehe...

mmmmm...

could be a faulty fan switch or temp reader cheack to see if its realy over heating if the temp is getting that hot you will no if you open the water cap so leave it open and see if its getting to hot

dont think it could be the fans...becuase when im driving the meter goes to "N" and above just under red....and thats when im driving normal....if i drive it faster then it goes on te downside of the "N"....

its not normal the fans turn on while driving normal...that never happened to me...they turn on when i wasnt driving....and then they go off...

it looks very much like this...

problem solved....it was the thermostate...

now the meter is on the top of the "M"...when it goes on halfway the "R"..then the fans turns on...and goes to the "M" again...
