Default HelpNeeded Please

Hi all.
i have a Mk1 Mondeo 2.0 16v.
I am having an problem with it, it starts ok and runs ok for a short moment. then it dies smelling very rich.
I noticed today that if i bleed some fuel using the fuel bleed on the injector pipe. its runs for a while longer after restarting it.
oh and the fuel level is very low in the tank.

Any idea's why this is happening.

Faulty injector(s) sticking open would be my guess!

Remove the injectors and test them on a battery or similar. You should be able to feel and/or see them operating if they are good.

but surely if that was the case then it wouldn't run at all on tick over.

also if i touch the throttle when it is running, it dies instantly.

If say it was one injector it would still run.....and more than likely if two were stuck open....but it would be rich as fuck.......
