hey guys im new to this forum but i came here to find out some stuff

i was cleaning out the garage and found a weber/K&N setup in the garage that i had been given as part of a deal once and it came off a mk2 xr2 1600.

Anyway i wanetd to know what they worth and also if it would fit other fords ? Would it need some type of servicing as been sitting for a while

back in the early ninetys these were worth about £25 - £40 depending on condition prob still worth about £20. not much use realy apart for an xr2/3 restoration as all cars now are either efi or single point injection. carbs went with noah, shame realy cos i think there great and some like the webber, in my personal view, are better than injection as the latter started out as a fuel econemy idea and the former just bucketed in your fuell. great! top fun. just wot tha doctor orded

 

the carb should fit any cvh engine (fitted to escorts/orions/fiestas) that was orginally carb fed it may need rejetting/setting up for 1.4 or 1.3, and should just bolt onto 1.6..... its worth about £20 - £40 as you say it needs a service.
