Default got flow problems

Just rebuilt my fiesta rs turbo had some teething problems, but the annoying one i cant seem to cure is the water one. It overheated on the first test drive which was due to the radiator being blocked, so a new one was fitted. Then it still ran at over 100 so i took the stat out, hoping that this would cure it and it did. It ran fine like this for a few weeks so i put in a new stat and it runs at 100 exactly on my gauge. It has had three diffent stats in and are all doing the same thing, But i have noticed when the stat is in i dont get much return flow comming back to the header tank. Has anybody come across this before
