Default erst ecu chip identification

ok, a friend of mine has bought a conversion kit to convert his xr3i into s2 rst spec

he bought the ecu in unknown spec, and iv taken it aprt to have a quick looksie, and iv noticed the chip does not look like the standard item i compared it to, it looks like this:

sorry for the blurry pic

basically, this item seems to have a double thickness chip, for want of a better explaination, like twice as high as the standard item chip. this chip doesnt have a brand on it like superchips or anything, but does have stickers on it, 1 sayin 'DT' and the other saying 'RS MK1'

does anybody know wot spec this ecu would be?? is it chipped or just standard??

any help would be great, because there are no sitckers or markings elsewhere to use as an indication

That has definately had the factory chip out, a standard chip IIRC has motorola on top, i'd be willing to bet a jam tart that its an uprated chip
