erst ecu chip identification

ok, a friend of mine has bought a conversion kit to convert his xr3i into s2 rst spec
he bought the ecu in unknown spec, and iv taken it aprt to have a quick looksie, and iv noticed the chip does not look like the standard item i compared it to, it looks like this:

basically, this item seems to have a double thickness chip, for want of a better explaination, like twice as high as the standard item chip. this chip doesnt have a brand on it like superchips or anything, but does have stickers on it, 1 sayin 'DT' and the other saying 'RS MK1'
does anybody know wot spec this ecu would be?? is it chipped or just standard??
any help would be great, because there are no sitckers or markings elsewhere to use as an indication

it doesnt have the blue 's' logo on the top of the chip like my known superchipped item does, thats y i got confused. im unsure whether DT is the markings of any particular make??
