Got a stage 3 cossie with all the bits

t4 turbo
grey injectors,
rs500 cooler
forged pitons
However only a standard 205 block ie not wire rung or long studded etc.

Whats the best gacket to use??? Not long ago put a metal cometic 1 on but only lasted 6000 miles

Its not mega mega power

Peaks at say 31psi and holds at around 27psi!!!!

that's not stage 3 then!!!

i'd use mountune 4 layer WRC gasket,Ł375 but never heard of one fail!!

BUT you must make sure the head and block faces are PERFECTLY flat with any metal gasket

 

just use a group a reinz gasket & a set of genuine headbolts.
my 4x4 running 26 psi has had 1 on for the last 4 years & i've done 3 track days & loads of 1/4 mile days since I've had the car in the last 14 months with no problems.
as above though if u use a metal head gasket both the head & block need to be perfeclty flat which will probably mean a engine out & full strip down as the block will have to be machined as well as the head.

 

That spec brings a whole new meaning to stage 3

 

This spec will be OK for your engine spec, Ian, but not good enough for a T4 blowing 30+psi
