evenin people, my gearbox on my fiesta turbo(91) is knackered and as they are rockin horse shit to find ive been told that a box off a 1.8 diesel escort(92) will fit straight on without the use of the lsd, is this true????????

Hate to piss on your fire m8 fezzy turbo g-box dosen't have a lsd fitted

so your options are open as to what g-box you use

Proberbly had a s2 box fitted at some time in its life m8

If you have got 4 bolt holes in the front of the casing its a s1

any mk4/mk5 g box will fit as its fitted via a cradle

 

Same as above basicly. The Fiesta RST gearbox has nothing fance or uprated in it, so any 80-95 FWD 5-speed gearbox will be fine, for except the MTX-75 which was usded in the 130ps zetecs and 150ps RS2000. However, you can take this opportunity and install a LSD equipped box as they seem to cost next to nothing in England.
