Default Cutting out OFAC

My car cuts out, The fault is VERY intermitant, It started about a year ago then It seemed to go away after about 2 weeks, It was ok until last week and it started again, Thursday it did it 3 times, Friday was ok, It did it once on Saturday, It was ok yesterday and today. I cant make the fault appear either so fault finding is impossible. The car cuts out, The fuel pump turns on and off and the engine floods. The rev counter doesnt do anything odd though.

I doubt anyone can help here but its worth a shot

I would od said the CPS breaking down but i would expect the rev counter to do something.

Inspect all electrical connections, check for damaged/fraying/corroded/un-insulated wires.

Check the HT leads, plugs etc. Probably an intermittent electrical fault, i personally would say the CPS.........

Trial and error unfortunately

Tell me about it, I thought it might be a damaged wire in the loom, Did a continuity test and a wiggle test one every wire, All is fine. At 1st I put it down to the EDIS4 but ive fitted 2 different ones and the fault is still there so it could only be the ECU or CPS, I have a funny feeling it could be down to the ECU. Im fitting my megasquirt soon so I hope it lasts until then, Just need to get a wideband lambda

Could be the chip not having a very good connection to the ECU.. try wiggling the chip about a bit.. or taking it out completely (assuming you have standard injectors) and see how it runs..

Well the last time its did it was saturday dinner time, Been ok all wekk untill this morning on my way to work, Drove about 100 yards then cut out, I pulled up, Turned the ignition off and waited about 30 seconds then fired it up, Its ok now, I am SO confused, Feel like stipping the engine loom to see if there are any damaged wires to the ECU.
