Default ofab efi

wired in ofab in my s1 turbo and it started fine,next day wouldent start,after days of fucking about i wired in a diffrent ofab ecu and loom,map sensor and edis 4 module and crank sensor,still wont start,no spark,wots fookin wrong any help please

No spark usually means the crank sensor is the cause, check it's mounted at the correct distance and it's outputting a signal.

LOL, i said the same thing sailorbob but he has tried another one.

NEWTON mate with all respect i think you must have a fault on the wiring you have done. The only way now is to start continuity testing wires, as you have changed everything else it could be

hi mate, u checked the coil pack?? this may be fucked.. give it a try,, also did u fit the efi or was it a kid called NIK or an1mal_69???

just wondering as he said that he had fited efi to a s1..

yes nik fitted the first one and it was fine at first then stoped working,so i copied the wiring with other ecu,loom edis map sensor crank sensor etc and still doing the same,it all came of a runing car

also check al earths on the car mate as this may cause a big problem,
looks like u may need to get the multimeter out,,

and go to this site and check up on that under escort series 2..

its had about 3 coil packs on it,soi think i can rule that out cheers

Have you checked the CPS has the correct resistance?

Have you removed it and checked it by eye for any type of abnormal wear or marks etc.?

When cranking does the CPS pickup a signal on a multimeter?

Yes/No.

If yes, do the injectors get a signal to open (To check this use a Mk5 escort sidelightbulb pluged into the injector plug)

What type of trigger are you using, i.e FRST crank and CPS in the block~?

Loads more questions but need to know the above first.

the car ive put it on is an s1 turbo,it has a fiesta crank sensor and fly wheel,the injectors are opening cos the plugs are getting wet theres just no spark,the whole lot came of a runing car on friday,ive had it runing then wouldent start a day later,could it be a bad earth? cheers craig

may be a earth, trackdown every earth on the engine loom,, also change yeh injector relay,, then see what happens from there.
