L8 To P8

as above
there is basically nothing that the p8 can do that an l8 can't if the run program is very cleverly written, although it does have more memory space for more break points in the maps

So if you run 403:s, it,s easier to map the lowdown revs and idle speed then? Is it possible to map it to go with lambda and cat with a P8 box, compared to a L8? I`ve heard different opinions about this.

closed loop fuelling using a lambda sensor is possible (and standard) on both P8 and L8 ecu's, depending on the code written in the run program on the 'chip'
lowdown revs and idle speed fuelling can be largely taken care of by the closed loop
