No spark usually means the crank sensor is the cause, check it's mounted at the correct distance and it's outputting a signal.

LOL, i said the same thing sailorbob but he has tried another one.

NEWTON mate with all respect i think you must have a fault on the wiring you have done. The only way now is to start continuity testing wires, as you have changed everything else it could be

have u checked the coil pack then??

also check al earths on the car mate as this may cause a big problem,
looks like u may need to get the multimeter out,,

and go to this site and check up on that under escort series 2..

Have you checked the CPS has the correct resistance?

Have you removed it and checked it by eye for any type of abnormal wear or marks etc.?

When cranking does the CPS pickup a signal on a multimeter?

Yes/No.

If yes, do the injectors get a signal to open (To check this use a Mk5 escort sidelightbulb pluged into the injector plug)

What type of trigger are you using, i.e FRST crank and CPS in the block~?

Loads more questions but need to know the above first.

Regards
Jano

Could be a poor CPS signal as Jano has suggested then......

may be a earth, trackdown every earth on the engine loom,, also change yeh injector relay,, then see what happens from there.
