Hi peeps
My recently bought ERST S11 runs very hot all the time even when you are poodling along, when it gets between 3/4 and the red the fan cuts in but the temp stays pretty much the same (might drop down a tiny bit) and the fan keeps spinning doesn't stop.
Just had new piston & rings, shells, head gasket, head skim,thermostat and temp & fan switches. pressure fed when it was anti-freezed up, heater and all hoses are hot so don't seem to be air locked. can be run with water cap off until fan cuts in with no bubbling over. water is flowing round nice so don't seem like a blockage. it was also doing this before the rebuild.
any idea's what the problem is.

try the rad,how old is it?may have poor flow

 

the rad looks ok and the water seems to be flowing round good.
