call me thick(please dont) but ive just brought a frst and the bloke i got it off was gormless. he thought that turbo stall was the sound of the dump vavle. anyway my query is, the car has a dump valve on the crossover but there is no pipe going to inlet, so am i right in guessing im loosing most of my boost

 

you mean there is no vacuum pipe to the inlet?

you shouldn't be loosing boost as the dump valve should be shut, use a blanking plug if you are worried about it

 

i would but the dump valve is welded to the crossover. also it sounds like i have a major boost leak somewhere and its not pulling very well but still flutters like a bitch? im baffled

 

ok, have a look for air leaks around the inlet manifold, the brake servo pipe is a common place where it connects

 

The dump valve will elak if there is no pressure signal pipe to teh top of it.
