I want to get the inside of my engine bay resprayed, so i will need to remove as much as possible. Can i remove the engine and gearbox but just leave the driveshafts in the hub sides and still transport the car via wheels. Whats the best way of striping the engine bay down but keeping the car a rolling shell, basically what to remove and what not to.

 

as you say , keep it rolling , make sure the drive shafts are kept away from everything . as for an engine bay paint , your best totally stripping it down . depends how u want it at the end of the day

 

it will be a bit hard but yes amte you can leave the shafts in there and i agree that the best way to get the engine bay respryed is strip it fully (i've done a couple of time (35) i should know it)
