Help - our S1 is not happy.
I was told it could be the fuel relay so we have replaced that and its still not happy. It will start, run quite happily for 10-15 minutes then die. Sometimes the fuel pump doesn't start up I.E doesn't make the connection buzz. We know it something to do with this but its not always getting power so willn't start.

Please help we are running out of ideas as to what it could be

Does it always prime (you have to wait 5 secs after switch off to make it prime)

Or do you mean after 15 mins the fuel pump stops running when you are cranking over?

 

The fuel pump just stops working but if you play with the wires under the pedels it helps and the car might start again. Some1 has told us that the alarm could be interferring with the pump doesn't help as the last owner was a slight cowboy!!!

 

Its fairly common for the wires on the fuel pump to take a hammering, the connections on the relay work loose and cut out. Its going to be trial and error by the sounds of it
