please could any one tell me the tell tale signs of gead gasket failure please.

water in oil.

oil in water.

air bubbles in water.

no heat from heaters.

any thing else folks?

you will know if there is water in your oil because if you lift filler cap or dipstick it will look like mayonaise

and in some cases, if its really shot, you get steam visably escaping from gasket

Loss of power

Sometimes difficult to start in the morning

If you have tools, sometimes loss of compression in some cylinders!

Easy to tell for sure. Shortly afterwards, money usually dissapears from your wallet at an alarming rate!

not 100 % on this but thibk a blown head gasket makes it self apparent pretty qucikly...

dont think it takes months or even weeks to manifest to a problem..

im always paranoid about head gasket failure but was told it would be obvious as the car would have various tell tale signs
