Default RS 2000 K REG STARTING PROBLEM PLZ HELP!

HI I WOUNDER IF ANY1 CAN HELP !!!! Im have trouble with my rs2000 it is not starting when i put the key in and turn it i hear the fuelpump then i turn it a bit more to start and it make a click noise and doesnt start. if i put the car in 1st gear and rock the car till the fuel pump kicks in and only then it sometimes starts. ive had a new starter new battery and checked all the earth leads to make sure enough power is getting to the starter but i cannot figure out the problem can you help???????? regards dan

Stick your head under the footwell and check for any loose wires. I had the same problem, done that and spotted a wire that had a bolt loose on it. tightened it up and it started first time.

More than likely your fusebox packing in, Common problem with them unfortunatly

thanks env19 and simon i will try env19's answer first then if that fails i will buy a new fuse box. thanks for your help lads i will let you both know how i got on at the weekend

still doesnt work put a new fuse box on and checked 4 loose wires n still no gud. more help needed plz

if you have to rock it to get it going its more than likely the starter is jamming or worn to the point of no return!
get a 2nd hand starter and chuck it in!

right then peeps still help needed!!

can anyone think what elts could course my starter motor not to enguage its a new starter only a year ago im not even getting a click click now all my lights come on the dash my fuel pump activates but yet still nothing im running out of options now please can anyone shed any light on this?

Try running a seperate wire from your battery to the THIN wire on the back of the starter, Make sure its not in gear as this will turn the starter over, If it doesnt then the starters fucked, if it does turn the engine over then its an electrical fault from the ignition.
