Default brake warning light

Had my brakes done a few weeks ago and the brake warning light hasn't gone off, so I went and brought some brake discs had them put on today and the light is still on. Can anyone help as this is really bugging me now.

if they haven't put in new pads with the sensors then it won't go out
if they have put pads on with sensors see if the multi pluds are plugged in should see some wires from each caliper to a multi plug this should be connected as well?

Which brake warning light is it just to clarify, is it the one thats like (!) or is it like a picture of a break pad? I didn't think the mondeo's had break pad wear sensors?

Check the handbrake switch as well as most use the same dash lamp when the handbrake is on.

As said then that light is in the brake fluid reservoir and handbrake circuit. Check the brake fluid level, check the cap is on tight, check the wiring plug is on properly and check the handbrake switch. I personally would say its the fluid sender or something thereabouts seeing as its only just happened after new discs.

Hmmmm well they usually only flash if theres a fault on the circuit on the earlier models. At a guess i would say it sounds like they haven't changed the wear sensor (was the light on before u had them done). Some brake pads have the sensor built in and some have a little sensor which pushes into that pad.

Hi! They had the sensor already built into the pad when I got them and the connectors are all connected tightly.

I'm all out of ideas on that then..? I suppose there is a chance the pad could be faulty...which im sure u dont want to hear

Do you still have the owners handbook? Have a read through and see whats the lights do under different circumstances. I'm sure if there is a fault on the crcuit they flash for a set time when you turn the ignition and then go out.
