I'm all out of ideas on that then..? I suppose there is a chance the pad could be faulty...which im sure u dont want to hear

Do you still have the owners handbook? Have a read through and see whats the lights do under different circumstances. I'm sure if there is a fault on the crcuit they flash for a set time when you turn the ignition and then go out.
