how much oil in a s2 box?
anyone know how much oil ur supposed to put in a s2 gearbox?
haynes manual says 3.1 litres and halfords gearbox oil index says 2.1 litres
i dont want to under or overfill the box and knacker it

get the car level, open the filler plug . add oil till it just reaches the threads of the plug .
Job done ! 3 litres for a empty box sounds about right .

3 liters is spot on. After 3.5 the oil starts to pour out of the filling hole, which is a bit too much. 3.1 is the amount the manual gives for all BC gearboxes, but then again the LSD doesn't take much oil in it to the standard differential.
