Default Big Cossy problem

Hi there,

Please help me someone!!! I have a Sapphire cossy 4x4, iam having majoy running problems with it. i used to be able to drive round for an hour or two without a hitch then all of a sudden it will lose power and die on me then won't start till it's cool down a little. some times just cuts out on idle but now won't start at all. when i put the ingnition on i can here the coil and injetor number 2 fires by it selves with out turning the engine over???? i thought it could be the loom witch i have now changed with no joy could be ECU maybe?? any surgestions??? (i have renewed all sensors)

Regards Mikey

Sounds like the ecu mate, mine was doing the same when I had an encryption fault with a chip that was sent out to me. Engine wouldn't fire and all you could hear where the injectors pulsing.

Another thing worth checking are the multi plugs located on the bulkhead behind the engine as these corrode and can cause all sorts of weird and wonderful faults.

Sounds like a bad connection with the baby board ribbon cable.
Take ecu lid off with engine running and move the cable about to see if that replicates the problem.
