That's the turbo I'm going for on mine hoping for 650-680 ish

I saw Cossie Dave's make 701 bhp on the rollers with Mark mapping it using that turbo on 2.0 block.

I went out today, Ian as I have fitted some residual pressure valves to the brake lines, now I can modulate it on the point of lock up on the brakes.

The softer springs and 6 degree beam has made it a lot more docile and better traction, I am going to go even softer on the springs and stiffer on the roll bars though to try that. I am thinking that another 100bhp and a chunk more low down torque is going to be fun.

I'm with you on the springs toby as this is a fast road car you need to feel the road . Not have the road trying to Bracknel your back when it hits a bump in the road

Took a drive out to the lunch meeting at the departure lounge, Alton Hants. Classic car meet and there were about 300 cars there, mine got loads of attention and some lovely comments and an invite to the Peugeot stand at Basingstoke to show mine.

A nice rs1800 turned up plus lots of other fords, no Cossies though.

Thanks Paul, I do want to get out to a lot of shows this yr and I haven't been to Coombe in a while, there are some nice places to stay so hope to get out.

I don't feel I need more power as you just get used to it, the alloy block is more about knowing that it is all new and bullet proof, plus 25kg off the front axle. I want as much torque as I can get in the 2-4k range, the extra power is just a side effect and I do want to get over the 500 marker...just cos I want to really. The extra power comes from having the right turbo to fill the 2.2 or 2.4.

Was great to get out and do some overtaking on NSL roads.

Arriving at the show on Sunday, I am sure I look much younger in real life though?

The organisers take two pics of each car entering.
I am probably going to put a stick on number plate on the bonnet and toying with the idea of a high roof spoiler when I fit the Carbon rear hatch to match the bonnet.

I noticed on Sunday morning that my Air Charge Temps were going up to 30 and even high 40s when in slow traffic or at traffic lights but then when running and even under hard use they were down in the 10 to 20 deg range with ambient temps in the 10 to 16 range for the day, I had a good think and then realised that my air filter was directly above the rad so I played around with the filter location and now it sits well in front of the rad, right behind the grill, you can see in the pics above that the grill is actually being pushed out a little on the passenger side, now the temps are much lower...it was just heat soak off the ally rad.

Big Thanks to Mark Walker at MK Motorsport, I posted him my bladed ARB for the rear as I needed it cut down to fit the 205 shell and a new end welded on..Posted yesterday, got a text to say he had got it at 10:00 a.m. and then another at 12:30 to say that it had been finished and he had gone to the post office and posted it back, same day.

Much appreciated.

Where does the roll bar drop links bolt to on the rear beam?

I have a bladed setup on front of my escos with standard rear bar, I may look at fitting rear bladed setup in future

Yeah fire a pic over, i'll see with mine then as my MK beam has just been powder coated, is it something MK does anyway to his stage 2 beams?

Will do a pic later for you. It would make sense on his 2 stage but don't know, he just told me he would add it to mine as a just in case when he built mine up for direct supra fitment....would make sense for him to add to all beams as might make you buy more products later.

I had to pop back to Harwoods today and my daughter wanted to see the new Rangie so I drove the cossie down there...today was the day all the bikers were out and I think a few will be taking their 600 sports bike back to the shop for being down on power as a little 205 kept up....one biker was dawdling so I overtook on a stretch opening up to a small dual carriage way, he pinned it as I went past to try and re undertake...I dropped him, I don't think it was anything special as in a 1000cc but mullered him all the same.

Cheers for the pic, don't think my beam has these so will prob do without the bladed roll bar on rear as im not having beam further modified and re-powder coated, would have been good if it was put on regardless as you said

This weekend I will offer up the rear bladed arb now that Mark has lopped of a bit for me to fit between the chassis rails, assuming it all fits I will then strip it out and send for powder coating.

Range Rover is back at Harwoods having a dent in the door removed that I found along with checking an odd noise from front suspension.

I Have provisionally put my name to a Williams Clio with orig Dimma body conversion subject to me taking the 5 hr journey to see it, it is a Willy 1 in blue with the gold wheels and looks immaculate.

Thanks Jon that is a very, very kind offer. I will let you know how I get on. I have asked him to sharpen his pencil a bit on the price. My main worry is if there is rust hiding under the kit...I appreciate that body kitted cars sometime crack a little where the kit moves, I can deal with that, it's a rot box under the plastic that's worries me.

I looked at the train and it was 4.5 hours so hard to do there and back in a day if you consider getting out the door in time to meet train times, then getting there and trying, the deal and then drive home. It is at an airfield so I thought about going to my local airfield and find a nutter who wants to fly up there.

This is the actual car, it doesn't have the fake side grilles which I think it benefits from. Willy 1 which I think is the least powerful but they were numbered on each car which I don't think is the case on the 2 or 3 but may be wrong. Same owner last 14 yrs.

That's a cool little car! I didn't even know they did one with a bodykit on. You never even see a Clio Williams or 16v on the roads these days.

Thanks Jon, still waiting on him to come back to me.

They did a few Cossied ones 4x4 but this one is 100% original Clio Williams 2.0 16v just with the Dimma arches. The Clio willy 1, 2 and 3 were quite special and I think they were a conservative 150bhp at end of the run.

Looks like I am gonna give the Dimma Clio a miss, it would need a full respray and I don't want to get in to that with it as have too much else on the go.

I have fitted the MK bladed rear anti roll bar now but not tested yet as have stripped it all back out to paint the underside where I have welded the mounts in...its all quite tight but fits now that Mark removed 24mm from the width (arrived with him Saturday, cut an rewelded same day and posted back same day...Thanks Mark)

I had to turn up a few bushes in the lathe to make "large washers" that would not bind on the spherical joints and trimmed a tiny amount off the blades (turned the ends down to replicate what was there)

Will post some pics up when the paint has dried and put it all back together.

Rangie is still back with the dealer but they have finally acknowledged that there is a noise on the anti roll bar, I just need them to now replace the valve block on the Active Ride Control as I know it is that causing the problem, it needs the twin damper block from the 2015/16 revision.
