Default SGS trolley jack

Anyone bought one of these? EBay have got 10% off everything today so I've just bought one along with a few other bits. It looks pretty good and the price seems to be the best around for the same sort of jack.

Other halfs got one and its spent all of its life (3+ years) outside and its fine. As good as the Clarke one i had (tho that did me 10yrs before needing a look at) but half the price.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy one at that price

Looks good. If your car is lowered then consider a low entry jack and whatever you do ALWAYS us axle stands and do not take any risks.

I asked the same question a few months ago and everyone thought highly of them. I bought one, although I've only used it a couple of times it's all good so far!

Yeah I've got a E91 BMW 330d, it's not lowered but it does sit pretty low anyway. Have to take extra care with speed bumps. God knows how people with lowered ones manage. And yes will definitely be using axle stands. Already got a set in the garage.

Ive got the 3 ton one and its been good, my only slight niggles with it are that the jacking pad is just a flat rubber and is forever falling off, it needs a locating piece to keep it in place, and also the jack grounds out very easily when dragging it around on an uneven driveway. I guess that's just a side effect of its being low entry.

Agree, heard of someone on the audi sites that lost his life when a car fell on him due to improper support of the car. His parents found him under the car when it was too late

If your looking for a proper low entry high lift jack then this is pretty much the best your going to get, not cheap but saves a lot of messing around when dealing with lowered cars and if you need to lift them high enough for sill stands

Well it arrived today, and looking at it, it looks like a decent bit of kit. And for the price I don't think you can go wrong.
Hopefully get to use tomorrow when I replace my rear brake pads - weather permitting.

Well I used it today and it's very good apart from the fact that even though it's a low entry jack, it still isn't quite low enough to go under the jacking points on my standard ride height E91 BMW 330d! Still had to drive on to a bit of wood to gain the extra few millimetres required for it to go under.
Overall though I'm very pleased and would definitely recommend it.
