Default SGS Engineering trolley jacks

I have been looking around for a low entry trolley jack and keep seeing ones from sgs engineering pop up. Has anyone got one? What are they like? It will be used at home only very occasionally but needs to be sturdy enough.

Cheers

They're certainly competitively priced, not sure if that's a good or bad thing when it comes to trolley jacks though.

I use a similar aluminium one I bought from Costco, had it over 10 years and it's had a lot of use. ~I think it was @£150

I have an sgs trolley jack. It's only been used 4 or 5 time but seems decent quality.

Still doesn't fit under the front of my saff though, have to jack up one side of the car a bit to get it in.

Also got a low profile one which doesn't fit under the escos, though it's brilliant quality and I have no problems ordering again.

Same with me as above really...ordered their 3 tonne jack around a month or 2 ago now and used a fair number of times with no complaints...If you look on ebay, you can find the same jack (without their sticker on it) for around £10-20 less...but for the sake of warranty and having someone I could talk to within the UK should I ever have any issues, I spent the extra and bought from SGS

Wont hesitate to buy again from them

Thanks for that guys I will buy one from them! I have been using a 4x4 trolley jack to jack up my lowered cars, getting fed up with having to drive it up on blocks of wood first

I've had a high lift 3 ton iirc for years, its left outside half covered up all year round, get abused and used on really bad concrete, done loads with it and no complaints, I've noticed recently it's dropping over time now, not so much an issue as I'm not stupid enough to work under just a jack but I do leave it under for extra safety/support and usually find it's lowered a little bit whilst I've been working.

not bad though for the price, if I chucked it away tomorrow and bought another I'd be happy

i also have used their engine crane and their engine stand and they have both been well up to the job the price of the engine stand is brilliant.

customer service is good too, I paid the extra for next day delivery, and the delivery company messed me about, I spoke to sgs and they refunded me my delivery cost and a little bit more iirc and it was with me the next day after making a complaint

I've got two of the SGS low entry jacks, they're great and really good price for what they are. Really handy for low cars.

I use caravan ramps for getting the car higher, mine isn't too low but I can't get to the subframe or diff unless it's raised.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272339753140

They get abused to, also great for driving off high curbs on to

If you want really low entry long reach jacks with high lift then this is probably the best one out there but not the cheapest

SGS do one of same design, although not identical.

I have the exact same jack albeit Sealey from some 20 years ago, and it is superb. Not too big, not too small, and so so capable and versatile. They dont seem to offer it anymore though, only a 2T version which is a huge amount bigger and although they claim low entry...it isnt really.
