Your front diff is good enough Jonathan gambles saph running over 700 runs one and he runs at at a pod alot
Is his a 3.6? the standard one is a 3.9....would be good to know his is 3.6.
My car will be much lighter and will not get anywhere near the abuse of regular pod launches. I doubt my 2.2 will produce any more torque as I will not run much over 600bhp.
Not sure mate I asked him he told me front and rear quaffe mate oppligger 6 speed seq mark will now he's tuned it
It might have the stronger 3.9 and if he has 3.9 rear diff then no need for drop gears...I do not know how much stronger the 3.9 is over 3.6...I think Jay referred to the 3.6 as "chocolate"

I think it is a 3.6 but waiting to hear back from him.
Hi, I have a quaife ATB 3.6 in the front with strengthening plate, plus I use the 2 support brackets to help support it on the block....bara said that the weak point is the crown wheel and pinion...if it breaks I will stick a 3.9 R&D in it and add drop gears to the oppliger box.
Do R&D make a 3.9 for the front? I thought it was only 3.6 hence the reason for using drop gears with a 3.9 rear?

I spoke to Bara recently and he seemed to think I needed drop gears but maybe not, I am sure you know much more than me...I thought they were all3.9...if not I have just let a cheap one go.
Never mind, if I break the cwp, the atb should be fine to sell on and I will buy a big diff.
I am having the T45 one that I posted up, I think this one is used for the Mock Up as the location points are all the same...will check with Mark though.
My props have already been done but with a brand new tunnel and new gearbox mount we need to make sure then1 inch extra is catered for...also my shell is already non standard so 22 cm shorter.
Boot floor is largely staying, will have a hump to allow exhaust to pass over cradle, Mark has chopped out the little coil over boxes and repaired the arch ready to chop out for the massive WRC turrets. You can see the pick up points where the cage will meet cradle mounts.
I think car will stay red, I will strip anything left underneath and have that body colour and then powder coat things like the cradle in (most likely) black.

I have had stuff powder coated in the past but I'm not sure i'd do it again, on another forum I'm on people was finding stones etc would damage the powder coat and let water get underneath and rust. I need to start looking into getting an alternative coat of something again when I start doing the 944.
I think you do need to be certain the powder is good. I spoke to my painter and he said powder was harder wearing than paint. Interested if there are other options.
I think you will regret selling it, just wait for life to settle down. I regret a few sales, I sold through lack of use but would use a lot more now. Use it more and you will love it, change anything that annoys.
