Anyone know if any other vehicles share the sunroof with a 1.3 bonus shell? Its just the up and down (via handle not the winder type mech), no slide.

My glass is scratched to feck so I'm after one - just wondering if i could widen my search...

 

Could it be the same as a mk3 fiesta?

 

Is it not a aftermarket sunroof then?

 

It would be an aftermarket cut and shut sunroof ,so just a case of looking at cars that had one fitted down the scrap yards

 

Sorry chaps, am i missing something. This is/was the original sunroof to the shell, no cut and shut? Perhaps not a bonus (if bonus never came with a sunroof at all), its a 1.3 shell tho - thiking back it was a 1.3 Bonanza or some equally lame name.

 

Have you got some pictures of it ,a lot of these were fitted by the ford dealers back in the day

 

i was sure any oem escort sunroof was tilt and slide ,could be wrong though lol

 

what reg is the car m8....did mk3 escort not come with that type of sunroof....guessing it's not brownish tint on it but.....is it green or clear..

Also when I worked for ford parts I remember an accessory sunroof being fitted to a mk5 escort and was only a up and down 1 and was branded with ford badge...

Will try and get pics in a bit. I know the handle that lifts is ford branded

 

Its dark and raining so absolutely abysmal shots but hopefully gives a slightly better idea

 

Tilt and Slide was not the only sunroofs fitted to the MK4 Escort. Tilt was commonly fitted to lower spec'ed cars, As per the owners handbook states. My first Escort was a G plate 1.3L 5DR and has the tilt only sunroof.

 

Were they factory or dealer fitted mark?

 

Factory fitted. My handbook isn't near me but suggests it. Its a very early handbook dated 1986 too.
