dude 2 of my mates got e30s turboed. cosworth engine is good but its a job handling the car on full boost lol!!! they took a different route. one uses standard engine with a t3 on low boost- nice to drive with a punch and easily controllable . the other has low comped engine [ 2.5] with gt30 turbo omex management etc and runs 380bhp ..bigger than a cossie engine so more power and torque.- problem is it goes sidewards everywhere

dude if you aint looking for mad power then leave the cossie engine. just buy a decent turbo and manifold, management, intercooler get the engine sump oil pipe etc etc etc done then have it mapped. car will be a pleasure to drive with the engine in it thats supposed to be in it in the first place.
personally why would you want to put a cossie engine in it when you could turbo the standard engine [ obviously if your after big power then built it and low comp it] and it would be better power wise because its a 2.5 so will boost quicker aswell. on low boost they still make decent power .

If you think "Cosworth" always relates to turbo power, then you my friend, haven't a clue about cars. Go back to your knitting.

i know a couple of people running 800 plus bhp on the 6 pot 2.5 that comes in the e30

fully worked engines mind you but well worth the build

and can be built for the same money as a good yb engine aswell

and as it a 2.5 you can use a silly big turbo lol

really? i thought he contradicted himself by saying not to use a cosworth because its hard to handle then went on to say turbo the original m20 engine with a big gt30 but it makes it hard to handle
if your serious and not just another dreamer all you need to know can be found on www.e30zone.net

On this site mentioning you'd like a Cosworth powered car would result in most folk thinking YB turbo, not sure what you're thinking!!! Maybe you thought he was going to drop a DFV in his E30???
