Looks like a decent layout.

Along those lines, some years they change it slightly at lunchtime etc to a little bit different layout, but basically using pretty much as much of the track as they possibly can

so with this track .... can you not watch from a decent spot then, without paying to be in the pits

nope, there is the building you have lunch in you can apparently sit in and watch but the view is rubbish and even in the pits you dont see much of it. Its a track for driving on, not spectating on, in fact its the worst spectator track Ive ever seen anywhere in the world TBH

If you decide to bring anymore cars you are going to have to hire a train to freight them all down on

I'm sure that it's only snow that closes the track (possibly ice as well) all other times it's open.

Oh yeah didn't even think of fog..... you'd have to pick a breaking point down the back straight at 150mph+ if it was thick fog...lol

Weather forecast at the moment is dry today, tomorrow and friday, and raining saturday morning.
Maybe the dry spell will last a little longer than expected.

It was wet in the morning last year IIRC, in fact I think there was ice still on the track when we first got there, lol
Dried out later on though.

Personally, I'd rather not even do the day if it rains.

I'd prefer a mixture of damp in the morning and dry in the afternoon, as a bit of sideways action never hurt anyone.
However, having been in a rwd car with you, I can understand why wouldn't like that

I don't mind damp, but torrential rain isn't fun at all....

Track is MENTALLY slippery at moment!
The have had lots of lorries and diggers and machinery all over it... and not alot of trackdays.
So it will be a skating rink early on and then get better throughout day.
Well thats what happened last week
I flew off the track on my first hot lap!

Toby carvery goldington road bedford is not far away from track and not bad and easy to steal . Also have hotel there as well.
Sharnbrook Hotel on the a6 in Sharnbrook which is even closer and lovely venue is a Sunday carvery but they serve on a plate and no chance of stealing!! As you turn out of the autodrome back to the a6 turn right just up the road.
I only live round the corner from the track if anyone needs local information
Ian

Well this time tomorrow we'll all be soaking wet and most of us would have had an on track incident of slipping off....
