No probs Steve

Was up your way last weekend at that activity centre, had a day out with Neil M and his MiniMoto bunch. Was a good laugh plus i got driver of the day

Going into the work tomorrow to get all my parts put in the steam cleaner / dish washer type thingie so just need to sort out a turbo and get the head sorted out and then i will get the engine put back together

Just got to decide on brakes, wheels and a couple of other things and it will be back on the road.

More pics the morn

Cant beat a set of AP six pots I reckon there as good as the Movit conversion on my RS4.

But a bastard for covering the wheels in brake dust.

Getting back to the mini moto thing How did you manage to get your arse down that low without falling over

Not fancie a set of mo's rainbird was getting numbers for people being interested .To try and get a rerun made

Now now, i just said that it was the "minimoto bunch" we werent on them. It was go karts, qaud bikes, offroad driving and bows and arrows. Was an excellent day only 1 crash, Carolyn rolled a qaud

Just a little update on the past couple of days.

Got everything that needed cleaning sorted out into a pile or 2

Took everything into the workshop to stick in the parts washers

Gave it all a wash in the Paraffin bath before sticking it in the hi-pressure / tempature washer

Closed the lid and set it for 30min and got to say it done a pretty good job

Came home and decided that while i was in the mood id be as well pull the Rad and Intercooler out to allow access to the main pully to change the belt. so this is it as it sits now

Next stage is to start buying some parts and get on with getting the engine back together

Nice one paul! thats coming together well! glad you have the inspiration at last
take it the bottom end was ok?

Its been far too long that ive been meaning to swing out your way to say fit like. Im on the Bredford Dolphin just now enjoying the sheer luxury...communal showers and bogs the lot

Might try this nxt time home. back on the 17th

got a fuel pump to fit first tho. hope that solves my problems

Chops,

Theres nothing like the old Semi to remind you of how luxurious a platform is , at least most of them have an internet connection now

Indications are that the bottom end is AOK Building a complete fresh motor throughout this year and will fit it over next winter so the one thats in only has to last a year

Pop out anytime

Just a quick update of work from over the weekend.

Lapped in all the valves and fitted the new Stem Seals

Sent the turbo away last week and got the dammage report back on Friday so its pretty Łucked but should be ready later this week

And tonight i pulled the plastic inner wheel arch cover out to prep everything for Waxoiling and found next to nothing rust wise

Not much to report really,
Wax oiled the floors / under the wings and around the rear suspension. Not very pretty but its there for a reason.

Re-fitted all the valves into the Cyl Head

New turbo should be here tomorrow

And discovered that almost every wheel stud on the car is knackered guess ive found the cause of the wobble

I will get some pics posted up later this week
