Helix quote the pressure plate at under 400lbft, I've been through all this before with them. ( thats if its the 6 paddle turbo setup )
Twin plate guaranteed the strength required but as Gary said they do hold up to it anyway with the single plate without the expense of going for a twin plate

Yes but as i have told them (which they were pleased to here its lasted fine even at 524 ftlbs

Exactly, I know people who have used them for way more than 400 and had no issues whatsoever. Their just covering their arses.
Same way a AP clutch will take 500hp on a cossy, I very much doubt they quote them as being capable of taking that although they do.
I've always used Helix stuff, gives a nice pedal, never had one fail tbh and not ridiculous money.
That said I've just got a Tilton twin plate for my own car but thats only as I got a good deal on it.

car made 396bhp 375 ft lbs, the helix kits are great imo good value and last, give good pedal feel and not to stiff, done 2k miles in 6 months this year including totb, and various track days
so far touch wood hasheld up fine, i also have a ttv billet flywheel which is a superb bit of kit

its a calibra turbo 4 paddle clutch kit i think they rate the pressure plate to 325-350ftlbs

Stick with what Rob and Luca have proven to work nicely and work on the setup of the car over outright power.

Oh im not disputing the Helix option is good as you have all stated.
I opted for the clutchmasters set up stage 4 as at the time of ordering my car was only destined to run 350hp. With the clutch/fly set up now clocking up over 2500 miles and the increased power the clutch cover was not suitable and has failed.
With speaking to Clutchmasters in America the next option which will happily handle the power the car is running/may run. The stage 5 with uprated cover will be suitable.
I dont see the need to change flywheel and fit helix clutch.
Hopefully all should arrive from States tomorrow/Tuesday and be fitted with box by end of week. Then its on the dyno to get an accurate reading on what the car is producing currently. I for one have no idea could be 410hp could be more.
