i left mine at 8am and arrived at lincoln to collect engine at half 12 then a spent an hour or so with Ian before my return trip.
by then i thought not worth the de-tour for an hour of daylight.
rolled in home at half 6 - absoulty fucked but with an awesome looking engine..

Its been a while so what have i been up too !
After collecting the engine a little spruce up and some bolts added so its sat at home now.
Inside the gearbox casing is home to a Quaife diff and the custom drivshafts are currently being machined at the moment with new cv joints also.
The clutch is uprated to a 6-paddle item along with a alloy flywheel which sees away with the shocking dual mass set up as standard.
Sourced a brand new throttle body for the inlet too which has been re-tapped for the larger bolts
Work is really cracking on now as my deadline is fast approaching.

Plenty of areas on the box you can bolt a fabricated damper for your turbo, check my last reply on the thread you posted in General Chat

With the engine sat in situ its looking fairly roomy considering the size of the box, the pedal box is going to be a tight squeeze though i think as will the exhaust system be which has to run over the back of the gearbox and down the bulkhead. This will consist of vband connectors - fexi joint - 3"pipework throughout and 2 x silencers to keep things to the rules of that library style set up at Bedford.
Theres me hoping having the starter on the rear of the box that the common FWD starter heat soak issues will be solved.. Heat proofing of everything is going to be a must. The linkage on the gearbox runs really well due to the focus being cable operated, a small incision in the floor allows for the cables to run unhindered up the bulkhead and onto the gear selectors.
Nice with out having the master cylinder/servo there as frees up so much space.

hm... looks good. What's the diameter of the throttle itself and whats the bolt pattern? Square? 70 mm? And the diameter of the hose connector?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I was looking for cosworth throttle body to begin with.
The bolt holes are on a square pattern unlike a standard frst throttle and the bolt holes are wider spread.

how wide? could be ideal für RS1600i / ERST inlet...
