Hi Luke,
You will love the six speed box, nice close ratios, and the shift is good once you get use to it!
The only half difficult part of the conversion is the hydraulic clutch. I found that you are best to use the standard slave cylinder and just adapt the pressure-in fitting. ie cut off old fitting, drill and tap M10x1, buy a -3 to M10x1 male to male adaptor and there you go.
Later.

Nice work Luke.
This car will be very very fast. That cylinder head looks like I've seen it before (I can not stress how much r&d has gone into that).
I hope you got balls mate as with the correct gearing your gonna need them.
I'll get you those cams sorted within the next couple of weeks pal.
Sunny.

Hi sas, the drive train and top half of the engine that I have supplied to Luke will be able to do that however I wouldnt recommend reving there all the time. The whole drive train has been custom designed and cnc'ed. Alot of hard work went into that. I reved her past 8400rpm (not on a regular occaision) however I still have the solid lifters in my garage somewhere that I was going to upgrade to at the time. I would suggest changing the standard plastic cam belt tensioner and going to solids and she will see 8500rpm no problem.

Hi Sunny, didny know you supplied the drive train.
Good to know somebody else has ran the Zetec to 8500rpm, they are eager little engines.
You out with yours next year?

Hi mate,
Luke has the whole of my old top half setup as it was when the car did 178.8mph
Indeed mate, now that other commitments are out of the way (namely a costly marriage and a new young man on the scene) I can push the car up the list of priorities and get her sorted sooner however new spec engine and completely diffierent car.....as you can appreciate does take time to get it right first time round.
166mph makes a very fast RST.

Theres no room for this mate, im having to go for a complete hydraulic pedal box with 3 seperate master cylinders incorprated.
The box is narrower but very bulky and the linkage to change gears sits in the place of the standard master cylinder/servo.

From looking at my mates Cosworth its no tighter than the route they have to run, It just means i have to heatproof it very wel and re-route the fuel lines etc .

Yeah I know mate, I blagged him to buy my mates......oh wait...no, I best not tell yeah, in case he hasn't told you!
I was in 2 minds about the Focus TBH mate, I want a Cossie, but I'm still not done with this yet. Plus, after buying the R888's and slapping them on some spare 17's, I suddenly remembered I had not adjusted my camber top mounts ar Brunters...hence why it couldn't even put a fraction of the power down! Despite the excuses I've sussed a lot of issues out, fitted some stronger driveshafts on and had the turbo reworked slightly.
Dunno what to do next, but I got a few ideas buddy.
But much respect to yours man, shame you didn't have it at Brunters. Couldn't stop looking at it at Ford fair, proper machine man!

ceramic coating is good to keep temp's down mate, my friend had got a punto 2 litre turbo with t4 and external wastegate, when we had been out for a caning would stop and open the bonnet and it would burn your face it was that hot! he had it ceramic coated and now he opens the bonnet and you can put your hands near enough on the manifold

Looking into possible adding some cutouts in the bonnet WRC Focus style, but thats more of a last resort - dependant on temps..
