my dads cousin is over at the mo so he hasnt had time to help me, with them over and his work etc so next week i will be back out there and i hope it dont rain as i really need it back on the road asap.
once the bays together and the engines back in im gunna get the engine running etc so i can drive it to hopfully my uncles place to spray it.
just hope we can sort the hydrovain out, as it keeps cutting out and the old one we used for the bay, althoigh works fine and will do the job its fucking noisy and the gauge is busted so were not 100% sure what the pressure is but were sure its still around 70 psi, give or take
im gunna try and borrow my uncles devilbiss gravity feed gun to spray the car with, hope it still works its been hung in his work shop for years and has only be used a few times still my dads norm devilbiss spray gun is spot on but its a pain when the pain gets low and ya got to angle it etc

its sunday mate, day of rest.
plus i had birthday party to go to, only a kiddy one but i couldnt get out of it
all ive done is modded the second bumper indicator.
so thats that.
but im hoping to be out working on the car again tomorrow, but i need my dad to do the welding as were gunna do filler repair panle.
once thats in i can grind it up and skim it will filler to blend in, but we know filler shrinks so if i put the skim on now and sand it once engines in and running etc, that will give it time to set and shrink.
plus once the panels on i can spray shit loads of wax in there and then seal the gap round the inside lip like ford should of done and get the rest of the rear inner arch stone chipped.
i am getting pissed off though, i havent really touched the car in 3 weeks as i got fucked off with the brake and fuel lines not going back on right so fucked it off till i felt like going back to the bitch.
i recommend a punch bag close to hand for anyone that is restoring or going to be restoring a car

right tbh today i couldnt really be fu cked to do anything, by the time i got home it was about 12 cos i had to be out early to do some things, then i had to pack some bits and get my ass to post office, but about 6 pm i decided i would go out to the shed and do something,
any how i decied it was about time i re-studded my arches seeing as i cant get to the car to work on that and the arches need to be done beofre the paint job anyhow.
as you all know, these arches can be a fuc ker to get off, they snap, spin or the nuts rounds where its so rusty, so i cut the nut off with a drimmel
first up, remove the stud and prep it for glue
prep for glue
trial fit to see that the head sits lower than the arch
im using M4 stainless screws with 2 slots that i cut in to the sides for added strenth, it dont look much buit with the glue im using it does wonders, trust me, i done the driver s rear arch the other year.
the screws are cut down to about 20mm as the ones i got were too long but they came cheap so its all good.
some of you might know this stuff, (and 1 defo will) its expensive sh it, and fu king good stuff and i er, ....was given it when i used to work at my last place
all glued in, trust me you would need a crow bar to pull this arch off and even then your prob tear the arch before pulling a stud its that good.
not the neatest, but you dont get much time with this stuff and it stinks!
last arch i done the other year, the pot i pumped the firs lot into (as it mixes as its coming down the tube) went off and started smoking within 4 mins! but it was fu cking hot in the shed at the time.
any how, 2 are done and 2 need to be done, which ill be doing tomorrow.

you wont get that anywhere i dont think mate.
that glue will stick anything.
put it this way, its norm used to stick things to wind turbine blades ( i used to build them) and if you have 3 40 meter blades spinning with a tip speed of 200MPH you cant afford to have things falling off.
it does go hard, not like a super glue/aruldite type hard, if you laid a line of it out and let it go ff you can bend it 90 degree and it wont break, but it dont bend easy, depending on the thick ness that is.
but as soon as you stick 2 bits togethere with it thats it, it wont come apart.
at work once when a blade was broke out it lifted the planing strip ( strip of alloy) and they glued it back down with this stuff, so imagen the strip glued down, a 7 ton turnine blade stuck to it with resin and the glued they used for joining it, then a crane lifting the blade out and it "breaking" out leaving the cr@p stuck to this strip and the blade coming out, thats a lot of pressure being pulled on the planning strip, and it stays there.
the strip is screwed to the mould also, but once its been pulled out the screws are glued in also with this stuff.
any how if it can withstand about 10 pluss ton pulling on it, it can with stand a 8mm nut pulling it to the body of the car
the name of it is plexus, and from what i was told its over £75 a tube lucky i got er, was given 2 tubes of it.
but it does have a use by date and that was over a year ago but still good enough for me.

its good stuff mate, they stopped using it on the blades and started using this syuper glue, prob cause its cheaper but this new super glue they use is fucking good stuff too.
some guy was putting some on when the syringe burst and covered his face, the guy put his had up to the side of his head (had glove on) and you can guess what happened
few hours up the hospital to remove the glove.
i didnt get any of that stuff, so can say if its much good or not but its stronger than normal super glue
