3 door 2,0L into cosworth conversion
Here is some pictures and info of my conversion project.
The chassi is totaly stripped and will be painted black in about a month, and most of the parts to the engine is in place. the interior will be original, exept for a dash that i will have like a rallycar(flocking) and sparco steeringwheel, and for the exterior i have a genuine rs500 upper wing and frontbumper, looking for de genuine lower wing to.
tremec tko 600 gearbox is in place, just have do some fixing to fit the bellhouse. im thinking of 355mm, 6 pots ap brakes in front, and zf 7,5" plate differential, but the money is the boss here
The engine is:
Long studded 200 blokk with modified oilsystem, 92mm nicasil liners and oil squirt jets from zetec.
Balanced end to end
Je pistons , compression ratio 7,5:1
Arrow conrod
Standard crank
Winged oil sump for increased oil volume
Sierra 4x4 flywheel modified for the clutch
Sierra 4x4 portet head
Sierra 4x4 oilpump
Piper 931 camchafts
Mechanical lifters
Piper double valve springs
Piper adustable vernier pulleys
Costum made headers
Turbonetics spr 60-5, ar 1,00 devided exhaust housing
Mis magnesium inlet manifold with 8 siemens 580 cc injectors
Pectel t6 2000 engine management
Pro alloy rs500 ic, radiator and fans
electronic waterpump
5 bar map sensor
Innovative 45mm wastegate
cooper ring headgasket
tilton clutch
aeromotive fuelregulator
aeromotive fuelpump

nice mate, good sorta time to start too. get motivated on it now and before you kow it the warm weather will be here. unless youve got heating in that garage as well as everything else lol.
out of interest what did you do with the original engine? did it have the injection inlet?

thanks for nice comments! preparing to get the car paintet now, that is the first priority. waiting for conrods from usa and cometic gaskets, then the engine will be put together. hope it's up and running before the summer
heating is in place. The orginal engine is recycled for a long time ago.

The orginal cosworth t5 bellhousing is modified and was fittet to the tremec gearbox yesterday, and it was perfect.
some new parts was bought in.

Im still having problems with the paintjob, everytime i call him, he tells me to call back in 14 days, because he dont have time, another painter was looking at the car last week, and going to give me a price this week. Everything with the chassi is at a standstill. And the conrods has`nt arrived from usa.

I finally found a painter, who could take the job, so the car has been away for 2 weeks now. I have startet with the engine, and it`s slowly comming together.

This is gonna be an awesome car by the looks of it .What is the plating and welding thats be done on the a post where it meets the inner wing for though,is it just to stiffen up the shell?

I'm loving it men! The only thing I don't really like is that the shell is not a real 3dr one, but if yiu have done all the reinforcements and that stuff I'm sure it will ride even better that a real 3Dr one!
