To be honest wasn,t as bad as i was expecting. Will cut all rot out, which is confined to just a small area ,thank god,and weld new battery tray in.They are only Ł10(non geniuine) but do fit well,iv,e been told. Then it will be 100% rot free,,,,for now anyway.P.S Have used 15 litres of wax oil on this car already so will be rot free for years to come as i,m only planning on doing this much work once.

Wicked read so far mate, just looked through 4 pages! lol
Brakes look superb, suit the grey paintwork down to the ground!
Shame about the rust, but then you know it could have been alot lot worse!

The bumper inserts are not specific to the escort rs turbo.same insert for most fords..ie;escort mk4/5 fiesta e.c.t.Just ask for adhesive type bumper insert, they only come in one lengh. For the front bumper you have to cut it in half........Again ,thanks for all comments.

Borrowed the welder from work and prepared metal for welding.I can't weld too good so panel beater from work is popping over, and it's snowing(perfect weather for welding).

Also bought these to tidy up all the wiring under the bonnet and will use the small one to cover the handbrake cable as this discolours over time and looks crap.
