Went to halfords today and bought some more of this for the inside of the front arches.Closest thing to mercury grey i could get.

After a few coats they look like this,arch liners will cover most of it though.

Wing liners all cleaned up now.Are as good as new.Will wax oil inner arches tomorrow when paint has dried,then fit arch liners.

Also painted sump and gearbox craddle with hammerite smooth black.Didn,t want to take them off to powdercoat as they were pretty clean beforehand,also touched in bolts with blue hammerite.

Cheers guys, forgot to mention just before i was about to take suspension to powder coaters i noticed anti-roll bar had a kink in it,not from me i must add.so phoned up ford and orderd new one,Didn,t want to take a chance on second hand one.Ł72 +VAT..About Ł55 if i order through work so not bad.Will powdercoat this and other bits next week.

New decals ready to go on once callipers are painted,slightly bigger than original but i think the original one,s are too small anyway.More pics tomorrow.

DISASTER!!!!!Remains of brake fluid have trickled down one caliper and stripped the paint,oh well back in the oven.

AFTER,I think they look better red.I also don,t have concerns about this being 2 pack paint rather than heat proof paint.Iv,e painted calipers before with 2 pack and had no problems at all.

As there,s nothing to do on the car until front suspension comes back from powdercoaters.I decided to have a good poke around the entire front end for any signs of rot,just like i did with the underneath and the rear.Pleased to say i couldn,t find any rot att all....UNTIL!!!
