Default Project XWO

Well I started the big strip today, no not me, far too cold for all that.
I drove the XR2 about for a few months before the MOT run out and its sat at my parents house ever since blocked in by the Granada more commonly referred too as the Flying flowerpot:dazed2:

I had had a look at it before and it didnt seem too bad rust wise although I intend to replace every body panel available anyway.
I had to drill the rear seats out as the torx head bolts had been rounded off and underneath wasnt too bad, the rear arches had been filled at some point as there was bodyfiller evident but it didnt really deter me. The rear seat belts were a mission and I ve left some of them in for now as I dont think they have moved since it left the factory.
The bit I was worried about was the floor so with the front seats out I decided to lift the carpet :umm:
The passenger side wasnt too bad but the drivers side was a bit of a mess so I tore out the carpet and some of the pillar trim only to tear the roof lining so lo and behold I took that out too.
I dont have pictures as yet as I seem to of lost my digicam but I ll try and get some ASAP.
The car goes into the body shop at the start of the new year for all the panels replacing and a fresh lick of paint all over
Oh and a pic of it before :bawling:

Ok so the passenger side isnt as clean as I first thought, now have a hole the size of a tennis ball through where the wheel arch meets the floor pan. The drivers side at the front has a 9 inch crack in it and the rear one is just as bad with another crack
