this thread is one reason why i shall never buy another cosworth lol. after my 2wd, i realised that my pockets were never deep enough, and it never comes to a end lol.

ok went down today and got the engine in
got my centre caps on the rear wheels and replaced the nuts with the black ones!
so few hours down the line and we get it in and begin to hook it up...
then grabbed a pic of neil who was helping me he builds and races rally cars
And thought i'd throw in a picture of his dads darrian as he was fiddling with it
got quite far with it really but got to a bit of a rut now as most the parts that need to go on now need other things first, missing a few parts to be able to build it back up, so hopefully have these bits in the next week or 2......
but then 1 problem i have is i have my hart throttle cable kit but i cant see how it works!?
heres the kit
and heres the TB

ok so finally my dogbox is here and is sat next to the car waiting to fit tomorrow, due to the gearbox i decided the std gearshift may not be up to the job so i invested in a proper shifter. Also my new manifold arrived but due to a miscomunication will be going back in favour for the same one but in twin scroll. me header tank and other parts have been coated black also and ready to refit.
So hopefully by tomorrow evening the car should be ready bar the turbo and manifold being fitted ooh: ...

ok so after a day of graft got quite abit done, gearbox is now on, and the inlet and various other things, the new manifold is yet to arrive so we can bolt the turbo on. My mate is going to fit the gearshift for me in the next week or two and then we can crack on with all the niggly bits, tbh were 90% there now...

Ok today was D day after all the hard work and time and labour it started for the first time, stil alot of things im not happy with and wanna do but for now it works, neil is going to sort the last few things out for me and get it ready to go to marks for the run in map midweek!
Few things i have a problem with that i may need help with, first major one
1. the airbox will NOT fit due to the wastegate which means i need a cone OR a custom airbox made but what can i use for mark to base map it?
2. the roose hose connecting to the intercooler is too big i did order one for a std intercooler outlet but he sent me a 3'' i think now will he make one smaller or do i have to chop the frigging cooler :headbang:

well i dont come on here much but heres a few pics of the ongoings i had the car running for a few months then decided to take it apart again and do the final things i wanted to do to get it perfect.. so...
so heres a pic of the new exhaust being made up
im going for 3.5'' system splitting to 2 side exit, i am making this myself with help aand not cost much just time really but its coming along nicely!
next will be my new turbo and my manifold is currently also been modded for the T4 flange as i had a T3 on there by mistake, also may mod the W/G pipe as i cant fit the airbox in situ and its very annoying...
so the bay looks like this again now
also got new top mounts to go on
And also got my new cradle off mike R
straightened a few things out the main one being the exhaust tac welded up in place now, after hours or jigging. So just the hangers to sort and the top and bottom of the downpipe to line up then the tailpipes so few hours work and its finished....
been a little while now just due to being waiting for parts and people, but wanting to get the car ready for the summer asap, anyway movement forward jamie has finally managed to fit my wrc turrets he removed the old ones going to paul crow, cut the hole bigger in the centre then prepped and measured till he got both sides lined up and then tacc'd and then welded them in now is just a case of to prep and paint now. Car will be back with me next week and we need to finish off alot of niggly parts including the exhaust and strap the turbo on when the manifold is back from ah fabrication for the w/g mod so that we can get the car back up and running asap hopefully. In the meantime the car has had a new spec r cooler fitted thanks to pete and will probably have to go back for a air filter mod before mapping anyway a few pics for where we are just now!
the exhaust is near done too here's a small update on it i am just needing the manifold back to finish it and then we will weld the tail ends on..

Ah didn't wanna make it for me Gary, there not interested they have other stuff they make more money on than cossie stuff these days. It may have been mine its been tailored a few places lately. But I'll be alot happier when it's running again.
