its the near side inner joint that keeps failing i have had a few ideas thrown at me why it could be happening , but after i have done 3 joint in a row its starting to get slightly annoying just now, so i'm goin to town on it


some pics of the state its in atm car goes in tomorrow for the boot etc to be done possibly gonna get them to sort my roof rail that was leaking too so i can take the tape off the roof ...

by next week anyway the back end should be looking a touch nicer....And just wish my carbon bits would arrive that i have been waiting 6 months for

then the car will not be doing much now till it goes in for the sump off balls of a job ooh: ...

ok been a short while the car has been off and had the boot redone and come back looking lush IMO







then to this!!!!





also something which may or maynot be to peoples liking i have as you may have noticed removed the inner morette as tbh i never useed them and wanted to gain more cool air.... So after a few hours of hassle and ordered online i managed to get some air ducts get them powder coated black and then literally CHOP the morette's and bond the ducts in there

to give this.......

Also my carbon has arrived thanks for the wait mike R .... fitted the plug cover for now looks nice... going to get my cam pulleys changed for my piper items them fit the carbon cam belt cover...




also got my defi's arrive and quickly fitted them up, after getting hassle from paul R i fitted the controller in the centre console i think they look nice... just need to install the sensors next i have a racetec 2.5BAR boost guage to finish off my A pillar pod, and also thinking of buying another guage to finish the DIN pod...





So next on my agenda is i have Mike R spec coilovers arriving VV shortly, i will be taking the car in and taking 1 of 2 routes??

1- this will be dropping the engine fitting my breather items, fitting the sump, cross member with vibra mounts and adj TCA's.... BUT i wanted to fit a new oil pump while the engine was out but COSWORTH have no pumps there all on back order also at this point i was considering stripping the underside and letting my bodyshop mate loose on it refurbing the lot and spraying the underside in ''speedliner''...

2. this would be changing most of the above but leaving the sump till the new oil pumps arrive!? and getting some of my rust sorted and maybe come back to the underside later!?

either way i am off for MOT 2moro, so i will be going over to my mates and get him to price up the jobs i want and intend on doing then take it from there....

All well and good have the defi controller in the arm rest but what happens if you need to recall or re-set something when your driving?

Always get a second opinion!

Ps what the fuck are all them buttons for in the ashtray!

jay- tbh mate i bought them as they are the most accurate on the market i'm not into recall your gran blah blah rubbish if they show the truth and work well that'll do for me for now!!!

The buttons in the ash tray section are for - water inj, 2 stg boost, ALS, fans, flat shift, launch control and 1 spare for future use maybe

been and got a fresh MOT today and payed my mate a visit at the bodyshop he always gets me wanting more

slight update the car is now stripped (interior wise) ooh: were gonna be welding in the rear strut brace over the next 4 weeks, coil box finished off, and off to danny b's for chassis bars!!!

then the car is over to jamie for the front seats out and carpet etc and rear suspension etc removed for him to work on it in there new workshop :devil: ...

took delivery of these today have got some excentric top mounts coming too to finish them off!!!



looking at these tho makes me want to buy the new beam setup tomorrow to compliment them and the new underside i will have ..







As you can see the struts have now been stripped ready for the rear brace!!!

the coils are mike R spec rich not too sure on exactly the spec but for what i want the car to do they will be fine .. not really wanting to spend 3k on ohlins! Due to me working like a chimp i don't have anytime off for 4 weeks i did call danny and he doesnt work a sunday so i cant take it up to have the bars doen till my boss is back from his hols...

Really considering a beam tho as i think it may seriously transform the car ... i would be going for a STG 2 setup tho as i think thats would be the best setup for me... i will discuss it with him when i go up there anyway...

As for the fuel setup i'm trying to keep a bit of boot space as the fiesta had none! and it did annoy me so altho a cell may be nice in the boot i htink i would like to keep it underneath!? Ah fabs will be making me a setup when we can workout and decide exactly what route to go with it but basically the car will be coing back on the road with hopefully IMO one of the nicest fast road/slight track setups while keeping the power i have as it is just tweeking a few bits and pieces as tbh my power is nice atm...

another day passes and some more work , strut bars were bought shaped and started to be welded in until the welder decided to die .....

But got things coming along nice, need to save up some money so i can order my aeroquip hosing and fittings and my new rear beam...

My fuel system parts have arrived and i'm pleased so just need to decide on the fuel tank and design, finish the strut brace make up the turret strengthening plates weld them in then the car will need to go to jamie ... Also think my rear diff is on the way out so a ideal time to replace it for the 2WD setup ... few pics

cheers guys hoping to have the car all done just after christmas thats the underside redone new stuff all fitted and drop the engine out and sort the front end out and fit my breather stuff and that then i'll be looking to have a full exterior respray then to compliment the rest

basically due to the amount of work going on over the next 6 months i got them all new/repainted and i have chosen not to refit them until all the work is finished and the front bumper is repainted ....

Hoping to get over to danny B's in the next couple of weeks and get my chassis bars fitted... Also get the rest of the strut brace welded in along with the turret strengthening plates and some seam welding...

then i Really need to get a fuel cell made up from Ah fabrication my new beam ordered and 2WD setup sorted...

yes think it 'may' be done in 2 halves were gonna finish the rear seam welding and stuff gonna drop all the back end stuff rub it all back seam weld underneath then my friend will 'speedline' the underside. For those not knowing what it is, its a flat bed sprayable liner that is vertually impregnable and looks like stone chip when set but will never rust behind and wont chip scratch or even grind through when set its amazing stuff... that along with me getting all new stuff to go back on should be good martin

Ok gonna drag this back up after planning and saving, the car will be soon going off to Danny B for seam welding finishing my rear strut brace and chassis bars....

Cars then off to my mates bodyshop to have the boot bubble removed and plated have the rear half of the inside resprayed and the rear half underside stripped and speedlined.. then i can get the new interior in, off bigpower ..

The fuel tank lines etc be removed renewed with braided items then off to Ah fabrication for a custom fuel cell.. once working will be making my way over to harvey gibbs to recieve my new 2WD adj rear beam and 2WD diff and uprated hanger... then thats phase 1 complete

And it begins , car is now in danny's fine hands and either he or i will add the pictures up soon, from there it will be going to AH fabrication for my cell! then to the bodyshop...

thought i'd drag this up for you lot ,, as soon there will be plenty of updates.. the car is currently at danny'b's and is having the following:-
chassis connectiong bars, seam welded, boot bulge removed, rear strut brace finished and turret gussets...
should be out of danny's very soon and making its way to be fitted up with my new fuel system which will be as usual a perfect design and spec by Ah fabrication. once thats done wll be over to jamie for his handy body work .... so pics coming sooooooonnnn :Q

well the car is now back in my kindof possesion, rear end is finished with danny... the car is now in storage till next week then it will be at Ah fabs to be fitted up with the new fuel tank.. Jamie is moving to his new premises this week so as soon as the tank is ready the car will be over to him to see some paint ooh: ... pics to follow
