Thanks lads.
I spent some time on the car over the weekend and the good news is its ready to be MOT'd
Left the car running for about 2 hours yesterday and it didn't skip a beat, fans were cutting in and out etc, not a single problem, car even turned off
I will try and get the car out for some photos christmas weekend and i'm going to sort the interior out (gauges need tidying up) this week.
So car WILL be on the road in the new year, if it passes its immisions test
Matt.

Great news man! Good luck wi the emissions test! We take the mk 2 to be MoT'd in January, every year it goes back to the same bloke, he puts the probe in the exhaust counts to 3, pulls it out and wafts it about a bit and shoves it back in. LOL Top Bloke!
All the best for the MoT.

Just thought i'd let you all know that the car passed its MOT today (Thursday 23rd December 2004)
I've taxed the car from 1st January so all is going well at the moment, just need to run the engine in a bit then take it for a set-up.
Matt.

Not really been on the site much in the last few months.
Work is really busy and seen as i get paid to do my job i kinda have to keep off the net
Anyways, the cars fully up and running and on the road now, done about 350 miles now, so slowly running her in, don't like taking her out with all the salt on the road though, and its a pig to keep the underside clean
Car really badly needs a full mapping session as the maps in her brain are pure guess work, so a mile out, and only there as a start-up map.
Even so, the car is fairly nice to drive and is holding just 6psi and pulls nice and hard. Can't wait to feel what 25psi fully mapped up feels like.
I'm guessing its running around 120 - 130bhp at the moment and thats pure guess work as thats what i think it feels like, much quicker than the 100bhp Saxo i drive but not as quick as the 165bhp XR2 turbo i used to drive.
Me and Louise are buying our first house at the moment so funds are far too low to get it mapped, i don't think the mapping will happen for a good few months now.
May even have to sell the car

I'm hoping not to sell it, as its only running about 6psi and running a bit rough.
So i'd love to see what its like fully mapped etc.
Troubly is me and my Girlfriend are buying our first house and we may need the money.
Will probably just let it sit in the garage for a while though.
Not sure what i'm going to do with it yet.
The car was never built to do track days or 0-60 sprints etc, but i might be tempted form time to time. Will wait and see how it is once mapped.

It wont be long into the summer and the old girl will be bought out for a 0-60 dash or two i reckon matty !
Dave has even said i can take the grey one up the strip - lol - i said its not mine to break but he said its ok he will repair it even if its me or him that breaks it - think he may be getting used to me perhaps not having it off him if the pulsar doesnt sell !

Not too sure i'm going to be selling the car now.
Louise really wants me to keep it, and so do i.
Hopefully nearer the end of the year i will have some money to modify it some more.
Don't have internet at my new house so can't give you any piccy updates
