well these ones are new = stiff
old ones are......well old = loose as a sheppy hoe!!
work it out for ya self
Either way mate, if they are stiff - get the Fairy washing up liquid on them, slide into place nice and easy then.
First of all i thought you meant the front top mounts, then matt pointed out you meant the rear ones. They sit as in the picture mate.

Looks well nice. I had some ideas to rebuild mine - it never happened but i was going to cut out the spare wheel well and replace it with a flat panel and run some Elise style under body works.
Keep the pics coming, looks exceptional!

Thanks for the great comments lads.
Unfortunatly had a bit of bad luck the weekend.
When tightening the head bolts one of them stripped the thread out the block.
Not sure if i'm going to get it HeliCoiled or increase the size of bolt from an M10 to a M12.
Hopefully be back on track by next weekend.

Ow, and must be the most technical RST i've ever seen, never seen so much sensors and wires.
Been thinking of it myself, but I'm not handy with wires

Another small update for you,
Engine is now ready to drop back in the car, which i hope to do tomorrow night.
Got to give a massive THANK YOU to Race Power Motorsport of Northfleet, Kent, who today sorted me out with a set of Unbrako head bolts at a great price.
I also told them of the problems i was having with keep breaking head bolts and Keith there lent me a digital SnapOn torque rench so i could get the job done properly, can't reccomend the company enough. MASSIVE THANKS GUYS
Oh and some pics.

Hello
Been a while and progress is slow at the moment but just to keep you updated here are a few photos of how the car is now.
I'm hoping to have the car finished very very soon

The intercooler is going in hopefully tomorrow for a tad of welding
Then its full steam ahead again, until something else crops up
I will get this car on the road before Christmas 2005

A truly amazing amount of work! Congratulations on an excellent project man! The standard of work is extremely high, I hope things go a little smoother for you now.
I am 2 years in to my resto now and am beginning to loose interest in it, seeing yours inspires me to finish it though. Will have to wait till after crimbo though, projects aint cheap no matter how small first intentions are! LOL
All the best m8

Thanks,
Yeah know what you mean, i have lost interest in mine as well, i think the cold dark night don't help, i'd rather be watching TV then out in the garage working.
But i'm sure the day i finally get to drive it i will forget about all the hard work and bloody knuckles.
Matt.
