After the site problems about 2 months ago i lost the topic i posted.

I've finally got round to putting it back on.

Front hub etc all bolted together to set up sensors. You'd never know they were there.






You can see the sensor has been bolted to the caliper bracket.

Just finished putting the front seats back together.

I gave them a good clean with Auto Glym Leather conditioner so its left them a bit shiny. They are a really nice matt finish when dry.

orr man them seats are amence acctully the hole car is its just going to be alittle clean when its finnished like lol i think its much better when you strip the shell down to nothing then respray like a new car!!!

ace m8 did u use a nomal sewing machine or a proper leather stiching one?

Might have led you all up the garden path a bit there.

We didn't do the sewing of the covers.

I brought the covers from a company.
We had to strip the old covers.
Weld the seat frames up (as the leather covers are thicker you need longer retaining clips.
Make new retaining bars (as the old ones were not strong enough for the leather)
Then re-fit the new covers.

Was a really hard job actually, but the results are well worth it.

Hoping to have it finished in about 2 - 3 weeks

Been doing the new wiring the last few days.
Done everthing in Blue and orange for security reasons.
Made sure everything was well labeled as well.

Will get some pics of the right big birds nest i have in the foot well.

The traction control looks well hard to set up and fit, you will have to let me know if it was worth the agro. Once both cars are done we should meet up too and swap notes like a couple of geeks PMSL

Thanks Tony, Only wish the paint work was to the quality yours is.

The traction control all needs setting up yet, you have to programme the ECU as to what percentage wheel slip to allow on each setting and how much it reduces the engine power by ~ Will be fun doing all that, Although i now have a lap top (thanks to my mate Jon) so i can hook it up and change things while on the move.

N1C4T3N ~ No updates just yet, although i have now fitted my oil breather and my mahosive air filter.

Will get all the wiring finished off this sunday so will take some photos of all that, and hopefully be able to get the engine turning over on sunday, ready to put the exhaust and spark plugs on and start her up

superb,,i need to get my bushes sorted on my s2,,+ all the rusty bits thet attatch to the wheels,,,i.e. the rest of me car,,that is top ..

Cost loads more than i ever expected.
Once you start uprating things you find more and more you wanna do.

Yeah well easy.
I used the motor from a Granada, simly drill 2 holes and make a bracket and run a power and earth.
The motor cover is more difficult though.





Quick update,

Was going to get all the wiring finished yesterday (sunday) but came accross a problem.

I was using the ECU bracket out of an EFI MK4 XR3i but my ECU is a lot larget and the multi plug on top was tight with the heater matrix box, which meant to connect the ECU plug i would have had to do it out the the carrier then inset the ECU (hope that makes sence) but this would have mean't making the wiring loom longer and it would have failed the pedals.

So ECU has to go in the clove box now.
Not to worry though.

Will try and post some photos tonight.

looks well just one question though, if you have painted the underside of the car then why not have all the arms and everything else painted at the same time , just seems to let the car down a little

Some of the earlier pics show the old suspension, which was only on the car while it was in the body shop.

Not living at home this week so can't get any work done or do any updates.

Well basically had my alarm fitted on Sturday.

Connected all my boost hoses and all but 1 water hose.

Feels like i'm on the home stretch now.


Things left to do:

1, fit windscreen
2, fit dash
3, install and wire new guages (oil pressure, boost, water temp, wideband lambda)
4, fit seats
5, fill engine with water
6, fill gearbox with oil
7, fit exhaust
8, fit body kit

I think thats about it, but about 2 weeks work left.
