Default Stiffer chassis?

is it possible to do anything to the s2 rst to make the chassis stiffer with out a roll cage (such as seam welding parts of welding in parts to siffen it), i have mine down to a bare shell at the mo and i was going to try to stiffen it but i dont want a cage cause my insurance will go up too much.
