I completely disagree but it goes to show that petrol heads like all sorts of different stuff, Own one and do loads of miles in it (not a Gayardo) and then tell me its just a badge. I've had my Lambo over 5 years now and it still gives me a buzz everytime I drive it

They just don't really interest me there to slow in standard form and not being turbo from standard there's alot more work involved to tune one, and also once tuned the costs for gearbox and engine work will be alot more aswell I'm sure, I love the look and noise of them but I don't want to buy one, but I can see why anyone would want one they are lovely cars

Just looking at wheel and tyre options
Car has done a 9.9 already on the r888s so I should be able to do my first 9 with the stock rims and tyres

But after that I'm looking at some ams 17" rear wheels

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sour...bt8m_N0U3EH9N9

But they come with bias ply drag slicks which I can't run with my 20" radial r888rs up front.
They are what's needed for serious drag racing but different front wheels and tyres will also be needed at that stage

So at the moment I'm thinking run the 888s first and get used to the car pump fuel only.
Then get the AMS 17" rear rims and get some mickey Thompson 305/45/17s et Street r radials dot drag tyres

they should work with my r888s up front ok

Managed to buy some wheels today
enkei pf01s 18s with m&h drag radials on
Brand New fronts 275/45/18 and couple of runs left 325/40/18 rears
Picked em up for Ł1500 I'm happy with that good deal with brand new front tyres, and rims 2" smaller so gives me an extra 1" of tyre to help launch

I havnt seen the car in the flesh yet, but I'm told it's mint and it sure looks it in these pics

lol man pull-ups required
I shall start on low boost and get used to it, then do some timed runs working up through the boost on pump fuel

Should easily be sub 4 secs 100-200 kph on pump fuel

That car is a 2014 mine is a 2009

It has billet stroker to 4.1
Carbon brakes which cost a fortune
Megabucks ice install
Thousands in carbon just front bumper alone is Ł2500 on nengun !

And it's proven 240 mph in the standing mile and has done consistent 8.3 1/4 miles

Mine has literally just been tuned to 1560 hp so not proven like Rocky's car is, that's how I look at it anyway

Those are brand new prices though, none of its brand new so worth considerably less but still even at reasonable second hand prices I'm happy it was a good deal

I thought of this thread when I saw the LLF video yesterday!

Bet you can’t wait to get your hands on it!

These cars are actually the power that every kid told me my R32 GTR would “chip” to 20 years ago when they’d stop me to tell me about their mate’s, brothers, uncles one

lol I remember some of that myself, taking people out in a 300 hp saph and they were ranting to people it's over 400 hp lol
It wasn't, but it was alot quicker than the 400 hp Scooby's they had been out in, that were really 250 hp lmfao

I will have a big smile when my 100-200 kph time of 4.28 seconds is beaten, especially if it's beaten on vpower

There's about 14k there alone

3000 miles on motor, gearbox will be less than that I imagine as only built early 2019
Kinda glad in a way both new cars are a bit delayed as garage is under repair ATM

Hopefully still pristine as its new, just took a pic, we got flooded here about 2001, house was all sorted but garage seemed ok, back wall slipped on the damp coarse i only noticed it recently, thought I'd better do it before back wall falls out and roof falls on the gtr and the Humber

Road mapping and launch control should all be done next Wednesday, then just final check over in the workshop and should be delivered first week in February

Its taxed and insured so will be just waiting for appropriate weather, super excited as it's gonna be acceleration like I've never felt before

Cruise mapping was done today but no dice with anything else, couldn't be done safely even part throttle with boost

If not any drier TMRW will be February next chance of mapping

Something I've just done in another thread thought I'd better put it in here for anyone interested

So I've done the overlay with my current gtr against new one coming, have lost about 1250 rpm in spool as a comparison but gained 398 hp, but on my current gtr turbos are flat out the power peaks at 928 hub hp at 7000 rpm and it holds that precisely and exactly to the 7500 rpm limiter
Whereas new car at 2.5 bar the turbos are still not flowing flat out yet

dark blue my current gtr hub power race f 928 hp, 780 ft lbs
Brown line new car wheel power pump f 1082 hp, 853 lbft
Light blue wheel power race fuel 1326 hp, 991 lbft

certsinly got alot more power but gonna be alot lazier now without launching to get off the line, will be interesting so see what she losses/gains with no launch pulls

Nice, keeping your options open for more cars

I've had a few cars in the past that feel quick to me (about average power of 300bhp) yet I've gone out in pretty much the same car with more supposed more power and they have felt a lot slower.

I have had that exact same thing myself, my supra felt alot faster than my gtr, but in reality 30-130 mph in my supra was 8.8 seconds, my other gtr does it in 6.2, feels slower but is alot quicker

I've had a bit of a discussion today about how much more the motor and turbos has to give on this
ww can go up to 3 bar of boost, it's beyond that where head left issues begin, and it should make around 1500 whp, but the recommended limit of the stock crank is 1500 crank hp, so it's not worth the risk me thinks

I was planning on just having it tuned balls out while it's there but I don't want to risk crank failure not worth it if there's doubt it can take it, I also had a read about myself and recommended max torque is 1000 lbft at the wheels, it's running 991 lbft at the wheels so right on the limit as is
