My 3 door 1.6L project
Hey there people I just thought id introduce myself and let you all know about my project.
The car started off as a 1986 B plate 1.6L 3 door, when I got the car it needed a pair of wings and the rear pannel repairing, at the time I had a reck of a 1990 2.0 twincam sierra which i measured up and found that most of the car was the same. I chopped out the whole front end, the roof was removed and so was the rear panel and rear quarters to just in front of the fuel filer cap from the 2.0 heap.
I removed the ropey old wings and front end from the 3 door and fitted the whole 90 spec front including a saphire cosworth bonnet grille and front bumper, the car will be going into the bodyshop in a month to have the roof and 1990 spec rear end with remote filler and boot release fitted and hopefully get a full respray done depending on finances.
The other thing that im hoping someone will be able to help me with on here is geting hold of is a pair of Rouse Sport saphire sideskirts to finish off the outside of the car.

im gona be getting the cross members and all the rear beam components powder coated pearl blue with orange polly bushes all round.
Ive also decided to get all the underside seam welded seeing as how its on a spit at the minute and stripped of all its running gear.
Ive just got a 4x4 cos bonnet and a set of coilovers but im still without a digi cam to show progress.
Im considering this colour for my car so any feed back would be appreciated.
Cheers peeps i'll keep you informed

Different is what im looking, im not up for the usual cosworth replica as its been done to death, seeing as how its not a cosworth im going for as different as possible.
Ive got loads of granada bits to go on the car seeing as how ive broken a few in the past (including a couple of 24 valves) hence the 24 valve 4x4 conversion thats in progress.
As for the rear spoiler ive got a hybrid RS500/XR4i rear spoiler to go on, ive also got an RS500 replica front chin spoiler for it too.
As for the colour it has a slight moonstone blue look to it which is a colour ive always been fond of and with the contrasting orange underneath i think its gona look fantastic.

I can make wiring harnesses from scratch and im able to do more with an engine than a lot of people twice my age are capable of.
Just to make it clear the twin turbo 24 valve engine that is getting fitted to my car was built in the shed at my dads by myself so you could say im pretty handy with a tool kit and more than capable of building the car given the time and somewhere to work on it under cover. But thanks for your comment as they are all accepted as there is always someone who will criticise others.
