Decided to fit the rear strut brace whilst I wait for the front one to come back from powder coating ..found out that that the coilover springs sit very close to the turret wall , so ive had to order some button head bolts. Then ill have to drop the coilovers off and fit then back on see if they clear .
Strut brace is an OMP one that I've had flocked to match the boot carpet in the boot by Raj at Autoflock.
Nipped up to see him at the weekend then home .

Started getting a few issues with a misfire a few days ago and after a few data logs sent over to Mark Knight and everything been all good map wise ..fuel pressure , good spark I decided today to take the injectors out and send them for inspection ..turns out 2 was blocked , so now I need to collect them and investigate whats caused it as the fuel system was all new .

Went and picked the injectors up this morning and spoke to the guys thats cleaned/ repaired the injectors ..the findings on the report state that scale / gunk debris from fuel being stood was the cause of the 2 injectors not closing/ stuck open properly ..I also managed to find a little bit in the fuel rail ..so ive sent that up to avionics maintenance today at work for cleaning and ultra sonic bath ..now nice and clean and ive ordered a new fuel filter and fresh fuel ..get back out and log some data / see how it feels.

Well I got the injectors back yesterday ..cleaned the lines out and fitted a new filter , put it all back together and did a run to gather some data for Mark and it came back loads better with no misfires or overrun popping. The data also suggested its loads better than it was but slips rich a little every now and again , so going to put a lambda on as the ALS may have killed it .

Well had the data checked with new plugs and leads and still getting rich spots and mid range slight misfire and on over run /off throttle , but I decided to check stuff whilst my new boost leak tester arrives and to say all my hoses where new and still looked mint I found these ones off the IC and the other is the TB reducer to cross over pipe ..think these are the issue / possible boost leak as the data shows me 0.2bar down .

Not much to report apart from I've fitted new boost hoses and clips and gone round tightening everything up ..also got my new strut brace sat in situe ready for the Allen head m6 x25 bolts and nylon nuts .
Once thats all bolted down ill do a boost leak down test and get out and do some pulls for data log .

A little update, intercooler was removed and found to be damaged quite badly in some places due to moving too much , so I've decided to have a new one made with a better core and mounting points .

Thank you mate and no probs at all , its nice to keep a build thread on the car .
This and the hoses I think so and the cause of the misfire mate . I'm banned on Facebook so can't put anything on there right now

Parts inspection / clean and getting placed ready to build it back up once its back from Alunox .
Was having the manifold coated, but Raj at Autoflock has told be about a new coating thats coming out with a 3000c working temp and comes in black as its main colour, so going to wait til winter till he's had plenty of practice with it.

Was up early this morning to drop the car off at Alunox .
Then dinner time the post man dropped me my new cambelt cover which will be Modified to accept my cam trigger pick up and then powder coated Gloss black to match the theme.
Also Saturday just gone I ran some tyres over to mark Knight who was working on a nice vauxhall lets say and he took my new 4bar and is going to test it for me prior to dyno time.
Will update further if anything changes .

Got the call from Alunox today to say the car was ready, so me and my nephew went and got her home , I then decided to strip the new cooler and paint satin black.. I'm off to screwfix in the morning to get some draught excluder tape to sandwich the IC and Rad .whilst I'm out I'm going to grab all new clips for the hoses etc ..also managed to source a good 4bar from ignition advantages .
So the build up and clean up starts now ready for my trip to fordfair .
And now painted and ready to fit.
