Default 100e Pop 617 YUF

Picked this wee pop up a couple month back, totaly standard 1957. Drove it once down to the weigh bridge then got on with stripping it.

So parts gathered so far are,

nice wee xflow on twin webers 132bhp
Full OFAS front end kit
Anglia 105e rear axle
Type 9 5 speed box
Revolution Split rims
105speed Mass style manifoild
Bilsteins
Etc etc

Also got fiberglass panels form OFAS on order, Doors, wings, bonnet, front panel and 3 bar grill.

Havent done too much yet, front end is stripped, OFAS kit fitted and engine in place. Also got the rear axle fitted and the 8inch alleycats fit under the arch nice.

Will update as i go, hope you like

Collected the car back from fabrication work at Scott McMinn Motorsport, really chuffed with how it turned out. The work it got was...........

New bulkhead fabricated
New front turrets to Mk2 escort geometry
Couple repairs
Gearbox, prop and exhaust tunnels
Gearbox mount
Stainless side exit exhaust,

just got to get saving for all the parts i need now!

Not much of an update today but an update none the less,

Got the grp4 thick tube billys and new Compbrake -1 degree top mounts fitted and got one of the new doors trial fitted. Took a bit of time to get the hinges drilled in the right place but they seem to fit ok, with a bit of fettling they should be bob on.

Cheers mate, just fancied building something a bit different to play about in!

Thinking either a period grey or pastel light blue with the centres of the splits done gold.

Cheers,auld

Hi, OFAS are Old Ford Auto 's . Good luck with your search for a 100e. Seem to be getting quite popular these days/

Thats the car down to a bare shell ready for heading to Glasgow to get sandblasted next weekend

Thumbs up

Wow! Never seen one of these before, looks fantastic you're really lucky to be able to drive this around when it's done. Doubt you would see another one like this on the road anytime soon!

Buddy sorry to hijack your thread. Seen you had a alachi steering rack conversion in your mk1 cortina in another thread How do you find it? I'm almost at the point of doing that bit of mine and I can't make my mind up which kit to go for ? Cheers stew

Hi mate,

Dont bother with the Alachi stuff its total shite! Had the Old Ford Autos stuff on the 100e and its quite good (modded 2nd hand stuff) but by far the best gear available is from RETRO FORD LTD, all new fabricated stuff and quality is 2nd to none. Thats what im running on the current Mk1

cheers
