Cheers guys, it's getting there slowly
It'll probably still rust just to piss you off!
I'm so tired of getting shit on by the people that have done work for me in the past that I'm perfectly happy to travel to someone that actually takes pride in what they do

Had another day on the car today and got the interior pretty much done, just got to finish off a few more bits (headlining, fit the rest of the dash etc).
Wanted to get a few more bits done but the light was starting to go and I was frozen to the core!
Starting to look like a car again now
Still waiting for my engine to be built so I can't really do much on that side of things but I'm hoping over the next few weeks to have all the suspension, rear beam, diff etc in and basically just getting the car ready for the engine to go in.

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
Leather is a crystal blue car does look good!
Without the rear screen in the car the headliner will be easy to get in!
can you still get rear screens for them or have you got to find a used one? As they are bonded in i imagine they are tricky to get out without breaking the glass?

The seats aren't too bad but the door cards are absolutely wankered!!
I'll have to get them retrimmed at some stage but they're not high on my priority list at the minute

I don't know really, I took it out through one of the front doors!
I would end up breaking it if I tried!
Needs to one with the heater connections on the sides rather than the bottom if poss please mate
Good to meet you last night too
Cheers mate, it's getting there slowly
Yeah it's from the white one, the seats aren't mint but they're a lot tidier than a lot I've seen! Door cards are well and truly shot though!

Got a few more bits done on the old jalopy over the past few days, just trying to work on it as often as I can weather and time permitting
My mate Ade retrimmed the headlining for me as although it wasn't the worst I've ever seen, it looked a bit tatty. Unusually though it wasn't saggy! I think he's done a lovely job seeing as it was the first he's done! Thanks mate!
Just need to get it back in the car now!
I've managed to get most of the engine bay bits in the bay now, still got a few more bits to put in then it's ready for the engine to go in.
Talking of engines, I picked it up from Tony on Thursday last week so week so now it's just a case of building up all the ancilliarys and plonking it all in and connecting it all up. Just waiting for a few parts to arrive so I can then get it all built up.
Got my supra diff and rear beam in on Tuesday as well, was meant to get it in on Monday but got let down by one of my mates who was meant to lend me a hand
Thankfully my mate Steve (1-PD on here) and his mate Paul came over on Tuesday to lend a hand and we got it all in! Thanks very much boys, really appreciated your help
Then got the car rolled back out to see what it looked like on the old compo's
I think the height looks about right (I know it has to settle but that's where I'd like it to sit)
Not sure whether to change the colour of the wheels to silver or just get them redone in the current colour. What do you guys think?
Got the car turned round then and stripped off all the old front suspension stuff ready for my new stuff to go on
Not doing anything today as the weather is gash so that can wait for tomorrow

Looking awesome mate, going to be a beauty this one!
I reckon wheels would look spot on in either colour, but think silver for me! I changed my comps from anthracite to silver and well chuffed with the result!

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
Headlining looks spot on
Looks really good on the anthracite wheels bit a nice bright silver would set it off perfectly
Next update should see the engine in and a running vid

Its looking really well.
Good luck with the door cards. I tried to retrim one of mine door cards. It was a fooking nightmare. Its impossible if retrimming them in vinyl. Its just hard to try and get the vinyl to go round the arm rest.

Just trying to get it finished ASAP!
I am swaying towards silver and seeing as I've got to change the tyres anyway, I may as well get them done at the same time.
As for getting it running by the weekend, errr................yeah!
I know you love a crystal blue saph!
Another vote for the silver!
Cheers mate, I hope it'll be a good one!
I keep looking at the pics and sometimes I like the anthracite, other times I think silver would look best! I just don't know! Lol!
I can ask the question mate
You're right there mate, if a jobs worth doing, it's worth doing right. Ade is another rare one that takes pride in his work
It seems silver is in the lead so far!
I think I'm just going to flip a coin!
I wish it was that close mate! still got a few bits to do before the engine goes in
It won't be me doing them, I ain't very good at that kind of thing!

Looks really sweet on the comps! They really work with it. Headlining looks good too.

Got a little bit more done to the old shonker.
Got the rad and intercooler in:
Got all the lights and stuff in, actually looking like a car now!
I think Amber's are the way forward rather than clears
Got the sump baffle in the sump and back on the engine:
Minty fresh new steering rack fitted (sorry about the pic on its side )
Got the front Gaz Gold coilovers on after having to modify them a little bit so the strut bearings could function as they should rather than just being seized solid when tightened up. When I spoke to one of the guys at Gaz about the problem when I dropped them back to be modified (converted from 4x4 to 2wd), he suggested just leaving the nut loose! Yeah righto! Got it sorted though. I had to file out the bit on the shock that the pinch bolt passes through when it's slid into the hub as it covered about half of the hole of the hub. Not something I would expect to have to piss about given the price of the things but hey ho, they're on now!
Going to do a few more bits today and the engine should be in on Sunday with any luck!

Cheers Billy
I wouldn't say it was brave! It was only a little bit of pissing about but shouldn't have to do it. I wonder how many have fitted them without making sure the bearing rotates freely! I know my mate had the same issue with his.
Yeah it'll be alright! Sod it, take it off altogether!
Paranoia has already set in and the engine isn't even in yet!
Cheers Neil!
How you doing?
Cheers mate
They're both Radtec items but I'm not overly pleased with the radiator as the quality isn't as good as the intercooler
Cheers Ran!
It was a shame to give up on the white one but hey ho, always wanted a crystal blue one!
How's you?
Cheers mate! You love grey really!
You can have a front row seat In fact, you can turn the key, I'll be too scared to do it!
You got a fire extinguisher?!!
I'll reserve you seat next to Ade mate!

This is how bad i am. I get my mate to help me doing the timing belt on my cossie cause im paranoid in case i dont do it right. Ive done 3 zetec timing belts on my cars over the years and there alot harder than the cossie to do.
